Owner & Blonde Specialist.
Tara has always had a passion for hair styling. Beginning at the young age of 16, Tara has ambitiously pursued the most up-to-date color and style training, traveling from coast to coast to the most coveted seminars. Tara is a Redken Certified Hair Colorist, giving her the knowledge to custom blend hair color, so no two colors are the same. Receiving her Redken Design Certification has further equipped her with the most complimentary cutting and styling techniques for every texture. Tara is also a Certified Ouidad Curly Hair Expert, so curly girls feel confident when she cuts and styles their hair.
While Tara is known for her hand-blended colors and customized, easy to maintain haircuts, she is also a great choice for a special occasion formal style or supplementing hair with lush extensions. With over 15 years of proven experience, guests are in expert hands with Tara. She is passionate about blondes and is our resident blonde specialist!

Owner & Director of Salon Operations.
Coming to work is like coming to a second home for Liz. The relationships she has formed with her colleagues and stylists, makes them more like family than co-workers. Liz is a graduate of LaSalle University with a B.A. in Art History and has been working in the salon industry for 15 years. Having experience in both retail and service fields allow Liz to understand multiple facets of the salon industry. Color Bar 51 is the perfect place for Liz as she gets to experience something new everyday. She loves the fun and exciting environment of the salon, and is always up for what the day will bring.

Level 5 Stylist.
John is an accomplished and dedicated artist with 20 years of industry experience. His results-oriented approach to hair art pervades all of his services. John’s guests always leave feeling beautiful, having indulged in a service delivered by a master of his craft. While John excels in color and style for both men and women, he specializes in Japanese Straightening, Keratin Treatment and professional blow-drying. John devotes himself to exceptional customized customer service, taking pride in assessing and improving the condition of each guest’s hair. Dedicated to honing his skill, John has completed numerous advanced cutting and coloring classes at the prestigious Redken Exchange in New York City. John is a Certified Redken Design Artist and is certified as a Ouidad Curly Hair Expert.

Level 3 Stylist.
Lo has always had a passion for hair. She went to Brookdale Community College where she finally realized she was meant to be in the hair industry. She then enrolled in cosmetology school, graduated, and has been in the beauty business for over 5 years. She is now a Redken Color Certified stylist. Lo found her home at Color Bar 51, where she has also found her second family in her co-workers. Her motto is "when you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life." Lo especially loves creative color, such as balayage and hair painting, which creates a one-of-a-kind look for her guests. Lo attends educational classes and training programs to keep her skills sharp and provide her guests with innovative styles. Level 3 Stylist.
Karen loves the creativity of doing both color and cut to create customizing styles. Her love for her career as a stylist focuses on the quality time and interaction she has with each guest. Each guest has the pleasure of her attentive service. She loves to be creative and try new things. Her goal is to provide fashion forward looks while still being suitable for a daily basis. Karen feels detailed consultations and communication is key when working with and pleasing her guests
Upon graduating from the Salon Professional Academy Karen has trained under top stylists with education being a top priority. Furthering her education at the prestigious Redken Exchange in New York City to the Redken Symposium in Las Vegas. Karen is certified in Ouidad and Bellami Hair Extensions. She is also a Redken Certified Colorist. You may also recognize Karen from competing on “Global Beauty Masters” on TLC where she was up against some of the best hair and makeup artists in the world.

Level 2 Stylist.
Nicky has been in the industry for the past 10+ years. She loves doing highlights, balayage, color, haircuts & styling. Nicky is also Brazilian Blowout & Keratin treatment certified!
Every guest that sits in her chair gets a thorough consultation discussing what fits best for each person. Staying educated on the current trends, modern techniques, and new products is what keeps her giving her guests 100%.
Nicky enjoys working in a family-like environment with the amazing support and knowledge she has learned and shared with her Color Bar 51 family!

Level 1 Stylist.
Melanie has always had a passion for fine arts, fashion, and beauty. Having studied photography, dance, and music, she is inspired by a vast range of art forms and translates that into her work. She has found so much freedom through life expressing herself through hair and personal style. For her, the most gratifying part of her work is the creative collaboration with her clients to create their ideal style.
Melanie graduated from Innovate Salon Academy and has been with Color Bar 51 for 2+ years. She specializes in blonde services and all over color. She also does tape-in extensions and is certified in Brazilian Blowout. Melanie continues to grow her education and find inspiration through her co-workers, role models, and clients.

Level 1 Stylist.
Kerry has been in the industry for 8+ years and is looking forward to many more. She loves highlighting, blonde transformations, all over colors fashion colors and cuts. She has been certified in Brazilian blow outs and also loves Keratins. She always accepts the challenge of new trends while staying up to date on the latest styles. The relationship and friendships she has gained while working at Color Bar 51 has impacted her life greatly. She values every stylist and co-worker as a mentor, while always eager to learn from them and share her knowledge as well. She loves and cherishes all her guests, while making sure they leave feeling uplifted and beautiful. She strives to teach her guests how to get a maintainable style at home with the right products and to make sure they enjoy their time at Color Bar 51 just as much as she does.

Level 1 Stylist.
Sandy began her career graduating from the Salon Professional Academy, but has always had a passion since she was a young girl using her doll’s as her hair models. Her sweet personality will put you at ease and she prides herself as being a great listener. Keratin Complex certified, Sandy is constantly continuing her education to hone her skills and learn the latest and greatest techniques.
Creating classic cuts and hairstyles with a modern appeal is one of Sandy’s many strengths, but she is always up to date on new and trending fashions and excited to work with her clients to get the exact look that each one desires. Whether you’re looking for a new look for every day or getting ready for a special night out, wedding, runway show, or headshots, Sandy will work with you to obtain the perfect look for you.
